BOM's within BOM's

Post by Soooo Plastic » 26 Aug 2011, 12:29

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to set up my report (Sales Order) to show BOM's with BOM's?

Example:

I've set up Product "A". This is made up of products "B" & "C". Product "B" is made up of products "D", "E", "F" & "G".

At the moment my Sales Order only shows products "B" & "C" but not the sub-assembly within product "B".

Please help!

Many thanks,

Soooo Plastic

Sorry but the structure of Sage Data is such that you can not do that, without linking every component code (50 of them) back to the STOCK table to get each of the 50 possible sub components.

Oh Great! Thank you for your reply. Yet again Sage shows it's "Jack of all trades, master of none".

Sage have tried to encourage us to upgrade to Line (?) 200 with BOM. Recommending we travel over 200 miles to our closest "Sage Manufacturing Business Partner". And are asking at least £8K for the privilege. We're only a small manufacturing company and spending that sort of money is rediculous.

Are there any really worthwhile and sensibly priced Manufacturing software packages out there?

Have a look at the Skyewright "designs" if BOM is what you need..
