Sage 50 Accounts V2010 help
Sage 50 Accounts V2010 help
Dear All,
I have been using Sage 50 Accounts v2010 since last year only after that I have come to know that the company previous work was managed on Sage 50 Accounts v2008. This has compelled me to pull that v2008 records into v2010 but the moment I did it, Sage didn't allow me to do it and moreover, I lost control on the companies I was working earlier on Sage v2010.
Is there a way to migrate the data from v2008 to v2010.
A help will be regarded.
Regards

Re: Sage 50 Accounts V2010 help
What do you mean by "the company previous work"
Are you talking about archives or backups you have restored?
If you restore an old version it will overwrite the current data and it should convert.
If you had created an archive then the archive may need to be converted, but you should be able to switch back and forth between archives and company data.
Really need a little more clarification to help on this.

Re: Sage 50 Accounts V2010 help
Dear Brucedenney,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply.
Actually, the firm in which I am working now. Before its downsizing, the previous accountants were using Sage 50 Accounts v2008. I started doing work using Sage 50 Accounts v2010. After a month, I have been given the backup files for the 'Companies' on which the previous accountant was working. So, In Sage 50 Accounts v2010 when I tried to create a new company and pointed it to where I kept the backup file, not only it stopped working, also I was unable to get control of 'Companies' on which I was working on Sage 50 Accounts v2010.
All I require now a way to migrate the backup data from Sage 50 Accounts v2008 to be able to read from Sage 50 Accounts v2010.
Regards

Restoring the backup will automatically convert it.

Dear Brucedenney,
Because of some reason, not even my old records from v2008 are getting recovered nor I can work on the companies I was working earlier in v2010.
