Unable to save changes made to accounts.

Post by trixxus » 08 Feb 2011, 16:24

Hello,

I am running Sage 50 Accounts 16 v2010 on windows 7. I have been using Sage for a while now, but only recently this problem started persisting. Perhaps somebody here will be able to help me.

Problem:

When I open Sage and go to Bank section, and then click on "Customer" at the top - I get the "Customer Receipt - Bank Current Account" window.

From this window I can select and an Account under Customer Details section. When I select an Account I can select a field under "Receipt £" column and click the "Pay In Full" Button, the changes are committed on the screen. So far no problem.

No, when I press the Save button, everything seems fine. So I proceed to close the window, and for some reason I get a window saying "Do you want to save the changes?", so I click Yes, but nothing happens, I just come back to the same window (Customer Receipt - Bank Current Account). Now the only way to close the window is to click "No", in which case the changes aren't saved.

I'm really puzzled over this, can anyone help please?

Thank you in advance!

I would do a clean reinstall (Is this the 64 bit version of Win7?)

Nope, it is a 32 Bit version of Windows. After the re-installation everything seems to work fine, however the problem keeps coming back after some time again and again.

I thought it may be some permissions problem, and tried running Sage as administrator, which seems to solve it, but then it comes back again. So I am really kinda lost now.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

I would expect it to be some .net issue.
