editing invoice layout in report designer

I have sage 50 Acc professional 2010. V16.00.17.0154. Windows XP

I print my invoices on blank paper and have tried editing my invoices so that the Text "invoice no.", Invoice Date & Acc No. actually show up on the paper, obviously the actual date, inv & acc number shows up but I cant get the text to appear next to them. My knowledge of report designer is very limited and would appreciate any advice

I think that the problem may be that you are using a template with words on it and you are expecting the words on the template to print.

You need to add text boxes on to of the words in the template or switch off the template to see what is really printing.
