Sage Instant Year End Change

Post by johno2004 » 29 May 2009, 20:33

Hi,

I have just realised that after 12 months i entered the wrong year end date when opening the Company, now its saying April is my year end not May as it should be.

I have tried to change the year end but it says cannot be done as i have entered 11 months of data.

Only option they say is to send data to sage and they will alter the date for a fee, If they can change data it means it can be done so does anyone know the procedure ?

If not would it be possible for me to restore my data onto a computer with line 50 change the year end date and then backup and restore onto my computer.

Hope someone can help it's driving me crazy.

Thanks

Yes you can restore to Line 50 to do it.

BUT

1/ it will create some extra files and make things a little bigger than they need to be.
2/ you must use the same version of Sage 50 as Instant.

If you get stuck I could do it for you.

Hi there.

I am pulling my hair out trying to change the financial year end in Sage Instant V15. I just can't afford the Sage price for this (and it should really be included in the package...)

I have read your post about restoring it to Sage Line 50 - so would I need to find a Sage Line 50 V15 to be compatable with my Instant V15?

Thank you for your help with this.

Iona
