I want to run Sage with a view to using it insead of Quickbooks Pro which I have used for the last six years. I won't go in to the whys and where fors of this and I have no complaints on Quickbooks, I just feel that Sage is the software of the UK Accountants choice so it makes sense to change. I want to run the two programs side by side for a time, till I get the feel of Sage and see that everything is working as it should. I am using Sage Line 50 accountant version 11.01. My problem is that there is a lot of data on Quickbooks and I would like to transfer as much as possible to Sage as quickly and as painlessly as possible. I have tried the Sage import facility but it only takes CSV files. I can export IIF files from Quickbooks but don't know how to convert these to CSV. I can export reports from Quickooks to Excel and save as CSV files but I don't know the format layout Sage wants them in and just seem to get multiple error reports from sage when I try this. I have tried searching for some solutions but nothing seems to ft the niche that I am after.
I would value any help or guidance from the group.
Kind regards

Sage needs you to import things in the right order.
You need to have the customer imported before you import a transaction on the account.
All the field orders and specifications are in the help files for sage, we also have them and some advice about importing on our website below

Convert from Quickbooks to Sage MAS 500
I work with a small team that just converted a client from Quickbooks Enterprise to Sage MAS 500. We've converted over 50 companies. I'm not with a Sage service provider - we are an independent IT firm and we did this all on our own.
There are a log of things to consider when doing this, and data does have to be imported in the correct order. I'm sure we can help you out if you need assistance.
