Balance Sheet- Difference between Period and YTD

Post by hebahs » 25 Jan 2009, 18:27

Hi, I'm using Line 50 V13. Accountant plus

My 08 year end BS shows a difference between year end and period amounts. I haven't closed the year yet because when i did that with 07 I couldn't figure out how to go back and view statements from that fiscal year. I'm new to line 50 and not familiar with the details of how it works.

How can I figure out where the difference is? and why does it do this if the specified period is jan to dec?

help please.

The difference has come about because you have backdated something at some point.

You can create an archive when you do your year end.

You can only run financial reports for the current financial year, unless you run the transactional versions in reports.

find the difference by re-running the tb for each period and see which one has changed.

when using open item accounting you need to have some extra controls to detect backdating of transactions. See this page for more details
