I have been given journals for our year end by our accountants as they have now finanlised the accounts. I dont really know what to do with them - do I journal them?

Yes, but if your accountant suggests a postings to the debtors or creditors control or a bank account, it will cause errors in the file check, so you might want to ask how to deal with those issues first.
