Older Sage Line 50, do I need a software patch?

Post by Wayne » 21 Aug 2008, 17:50

I have an older Sage Line 50...it dates back to around 1999.
I've been having difficulty viewing Trial Balances, the screen shows nothing and a page set up has no effect, and after a process of illimination uninstalled my printer software which resulted in my being able to view Trial balances perfectly once more. On reinstalling the printer the problem recurred.
Evidently, there is a conflict between my Sage Line 50 (which is circa 1999) and my Epson printer (which is brand new).
Is there a patch available or should I give up the ghost and simply buy a newer version of Sage Line 50?
Trouble viewing trial balances
A box for me to fix or fix all appears yet does nothing
Adjusting page set up does nothing
Uninstalled the printer and could see trials perfectly Reinstalled the printer same problem recurred Do I need a software patch?

You can upgrade, it is cheaper.

I suspect that this is V5 or earlier and it wants 16 bit printer drivers...
