You are running it on a VPN!!!!!

Over a vpn it would be slower than a snail.

The current recommended spec is Gigabit lan, with ADSL you will have a 250k uplink that is a quarter of 1 meg 0.00025 (one four thousandth) of the bandwidth recommended.

Are you sure you were not running it under terminal services...pcAnywhere,VNC, Goto mypc or logme in or one of those types of environments where the application would run at the other end of the vpn.

We are connecting using Remote Desktop connection and had never any problems with speed except Sage is just disappearing now after we login

We've heard of this problem a few times also, not been able to replicate it as yet.
