Despatch Note Printing

Post by Mrbrianobrien » 08 Jul 2008, 11:28

Hi Bruce

For some reason Sage keeps on removing the layouts I create from the SOP Delivery Note printing options. When I click Despatch and try to print a delivery note the layouts are no longer visible. I also have problems when I create a new layout - it is not in the list of printable reports.

The layouts I create are visible from the Sales Order Print option. I am running V14

Many thanks for your help

Brian

Are you saving them to the correct location?

I think so, I am saving them in the layouts folder. The layouts are available to view in sales order printing but not despatch printing.

thanks

There are several folders in different locations, I suggest you check it is not just a layout folder but it is the right one.

Sage does not delete reports itself so this would be a more logical explanation.

I assume that you are using the new report designer and the file has the extension .layout

Is this an upgraded installation or a fresh install?

Check the layout folder in the data path and the one at

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Accounts\2008\company.000\Layouts

Thanks for your help - I am using the new report designer (for some reason it will not copy and past properly between different reports).

It is an existing install but I was saving the .layout files in the layout folder on the network not on my local machine as many people wish to use the .layout file. SHould it be saved locally or on the network?

It depends on factors.

I'd just try both and see which one works ...
