sage and excel problems

hi all

hope someone can help me with this.

i have sage line 50 accounts version 12 installed on my machine at work, from time to time we use excel to create reports.

i wish to use the sage functions in excel but i am having trouble pointing excel to my sage data, which is stored on server

i have tried going to the sage menu but the options i need to use are greyed out
can someone explain how i go about getting these ungreyed??

Sage integrated reporting is a little "flaky" try reinstalling it.

You can always use msquery and the odbc drivers directly!


I have 6 versions of Sage Line 50 on my PC and IR just doesn't seem to know which one to use and gets all upset (I don't blame it) so I don't use it.
For just about anything Sage :- Discount subscriptions, pay-as-you-go support, application integration, reports, layouts, linked excel spreadsheets, analysis or any other help making life with sage easier/less time consuming Contact me.

Hello

I have sage line 50 v 11 running in a map network drive (Y:). Sage IR does not work.

I can not get a version of excel to install on the network drive. It instists on saveing to C: my hard drive. I believe this is why IR is not working but I am no closer to solving the problem.

Did you fix you IR? Can anyone elso offer any more advise please.
