Hi
I have just had a call from Sage saying I need to upgrade to 2018 version as HMRC gateway is changing and my version will not allow me to submit VAT returns after the changeover by hmrc?
just wondered if anyone knew anything about this?
Regards
Stephen

Re: Sage V22
You can still manually log in to the HMRC website and submit returns by keying in the numbers.
Sage are using this to apply pressure to customers to upgrade, how accurate the information is is questionable.
I think it would be challenging if Sage decide "not to support" existing users on "supported" versions after the gateway changeover.
It may be that supported version get an update or that the old gateway will continue to work.
If you want to do the upgrade I have some special offers deals left.

Re: Sage V22
Thanks for your reply. So I could still produce all my vat info and just enter it on HMRC manually, which would probably take all of 5 minutes! or I can pay Sage £268 for the upgrade.
I think your right, another scam by the software companies to generate more profits.
