I'm not sure but I think I've deleted all my suppliers !! Was getting annoyed that I couldnt use the search very well and started pushing buttons ! Surely they're just hiding somewhere or have I lost the plot !!!!!

Sounds like a search is applied.
To the top right (in most versions) you should see the words (xxx Records displayed) in your case xxx is 0.
Press the magnifying glass by those words to switch the search off.
