Custom year end dates? Sage 50

Post by manxbiker » 01 May 2019, 10:19

Hi all,

Could somebody please confirm whether it is possible to setup companies with custom year end dates (i.e. 5th April etc.)? As far as I can see, Sage 50 only supports calendar months.

Surely this can't be right?

Many thanks

Mike

The monthly "bucket" values in Sage are preset to calendar months, however you do not have to use them if you have the Pro version as it has "transactional" versions of the TB, P&L and Balance sheet. These can be run for any date range, typically they are used where 445 accounting is wanted, but they can be used for any date range.

It is worth noting that the transactional reports are slower to run as they have to add up every transaction, whereas the "bucket" versions just use the stored values.
