Automating order imports

Post by katej » 18 Jan 2019, 14:33

Hi
I think I'm living in hope (as usual...)
Is there any way orders can be automatically added to Sage?
I'm in the middle of building an online quote/order processing system which could generate a csv file at the end of every day or per order and save it to a specified directory. Is there any way that this can be automated to be added to sage as an order?
This would be used with Sage 50 (UK)
Thanks, Kate

You need a third party product to do it but,, it is not that difficult.

If the files can be read via ftp then they could be pulled and imported in one sequence.

I prefer individual files created as you go through the day, rather than a process to make them, but a single file with lots of orders would work.
I prefer xml to csv, but csv works.

I do this sort of thing as my job, it is relatively easy, give me a ring and I will sort you out.
