Trial Balance Query

Post by mshah6 » 12 Feb 2015, 17:45

I am using Sage Line 50 for my business and have changed my accounting date from March to June
I would be grateful if someone can guide me to print a trial balance at 30th June 2014 (incorporating opening balances at 1st April 2013 with transactions for the 15 month period to 30th June 2014)

There are 2 ways to do this.

You can use the "transactional" TB in financial Reports, however, this is not available in some versions.

When you extend the year, the first months become part of the "Brought Forward" figure. So if you run as report including the Brought Forward figure then it will be the entire year.

Hi Bruce,

The reply above helped me today. My client's accountant asked me why the nominal balances on the P&L didn't match the balances on the TB. A quick search on here revealed the existence of the Transactional Trial Balance which was spot on.

Thank you for your help, now and always, directly and indirectly. :)
