PARTIAL ACCESS RIGHTS

Post by helene » 25 Sep 2009, 08:38

I am looking for advice on how to set the correct access rights for junior members of staff. They need to enter customer receipts and be able to run the Customer Receipts report from the bank reports using a start and finish transaction number. Likewise they need to do the same for supplier payments. I don't want to allow them access to the bank balances or any reports or areas where they could possibly get sensitive information (ie salary payments). Any help on what settings I need to change would be great. I'm going on holiday next week and don't want to have to come back to 2 weeks of extra work! Thanks.

You need to enable access rights

Settings>Company Pref>Parameters>Others>Access Rights

then you create new users and assign default access rights
(you need to log in in as Manager using the password you have already got)

Settings>AccessRights>New
(I suggest setting no access rights as the default)

Details>Modules>
Select module you want them to have access to
Full Access>OK>Close
If you want finer control
Highlight the module you want to restrict the dialogs on
Details>Dialogues
highlight the dialogues you want to remove access to
No Access>OK>Close

Hi,

Sage Line 50 v 21.5.9.201

I have a similar issue.
But, I'd like a certain member of staff to have access to certain bank accounts but not others so that he can for example reconcile one account but not be able to reconcile another bank account. Is there a way of having different access rights to different bank accounts for one person?
Thx
