Re: Sage 50 2010 and Outlook 2010
@ John are there any other MAPI compliant email client you have ever got it to work with? I tried a long time ago and nothing else worked, then SMTP came along and the need to use a desktop client was removed so I just use SMTP and CC a mail back to myself. To be honest no  Tried a couple of t...

Re: Sage 50 2010 and Outlook 2010
Sage 50 is designed to work with any MAPI compliant email client - I believe that MS changed things with v2010 of Office which meant existing integration code no longer works.

Re: Invoice details disappeared
If you run Check Data, do you get any errors or warnings for the problem invoices? If not, try running both ReIndex and Compress, having taken a backup first.

Re: trying to access data held on xp system from windows 7!!
We have now realised that a problem that we had before we upgraded to line 50 has reappeared on this new computer. A member of staff was inputing invoices onto the new computer running windows 7 and after each batch runs a report to check the values. On this report we have noticed that the last inv...

I believe that SMB2 can be disabled solving any such problems (at least as far as the Sage data is concerned)brucedenney wrote:Windows 7 has SMB2 the next generation of file sharing however, XP clients seem to be incompatible

Re: Synchronising Sage between Pc and Laptop
I assume you have a multi user or laptop licence for both programs? I've not come across anyone doing what you propose albeit it should work - how are you going to work out if Sage is running? How about using an external USB stick/drive to store the data (rather than it being on the hard drive of bo...

Re: Import Product O/B's
Open the Sage 50 Help File and do a search for 'import data'. Click on the first result and scroll down to the bottom where you'll see a link for Import File Details. Click on the link and, on the new page, scroll to the bottom and select Stock Transactions - the document that appears has all the in...

Re: Rebuild Advice
You can certainly retain your Products & their transactions as they are held completely separately from the other data so you could, for example, remove everything else whilst retaining products & transactions. The one thing to bear in mind is that, if sales and purchase orders are removed t...

Re: Data Errors!!!
You have a couple of choices: 1. Send the data to Sage to fix (expensive and you could be without your data for 4-5 days). 2. Get a Sage Developer who offers a data fixing service to fix it for you, generally quicker and faster than Sage. I believe the Bruce who runs this forum offers such a service...

Sounds like a known issue with v10 - there is a thread here: viewtopic.php?t=32 that explains the problem and includes a link to an update for v10 that solves the problem.

Re: Upgrading from Line 50 v9 to Line 50 2007 Professional
If Check Data returns no errors both before and after the upgrade then you can be happy that the data itself has upgraded correctly. Do you have any bespoke reports or layouts? You should also be aware that v2007 was, by a country mile, the most bug riddled version of Sage 50 ever released so you ne...

Re: Archiving data/Clear Audit Trail
Clearing the Audit Trail removes fully paid and reconciled transactions from the Audit Trail but does not allow you to start from fresh. If you want to have a clean start with Opening Balances, if you go to File -> Maintenance -> Rebuild, you can remove ALL transactions so you start with zero balanc...
