Have spoken with the boss and we have decided that the benefits of recalling the old orders are not worth large sums of money (incidentally Sage want the annual maintenance @ £650 + VAT before they will look at it). The check data was what caused the problem in the first place. It was coming up with an error and our IT guy fixed it - I went to do a backup separate from the company backup and left it running overnight. When I came in next morning the check data was completed but the backup had not kicked in ...

You have to clear them through the bank.
Enter the supplier (or customer) and match the items to leave a nil balance on the payment. :P

Lost Purchase Orders - Line 50 v11

All the previous purchase orders have been lost - but when raising a new one, the order number follows on. I did a re-index through file maintenance. Is this what has caused it? How do I get the old ones back?
Tried a restore on a backed up file but this didn't restore the purchase orders. HELP ...

Click 'Settings' at top, select 'Invoice and Order Defaults' and then 'Options' tab
change the invoice number back to what you want
