I suspect Win7 is the problem, you are pushing your luck trying to get it to run on Win7
The issue is most likely to do with the ODBC drivers for JobCosting as you do not report any problems with reports in sage 50.
Is this Win7 64 bit or 32bit?
Hi Bruce,
I managed to get it working here (same ...

Re: Customer's currency changed
Thanks again Bruce. There wouldn't be many transactions - I think it's a dozen at most. Only the latest has been entered in as the wrong currency I believe but I'm not completely sure. Will check with my client re the service, thanks.

Re: Customer's currency changed
Hi Bruce,
Sorry I didn't explain that very well. There is no new currency desired - the customer was set up years ago with the correct currency (NZD), and transactions etc were made quite happily until some weeks ago the customer in question was set to Pounds Sterling and as such we weren't able to ...

Customer's currency changed
Hi,
One of our customers set up in Line 50 (v10) has suddenly changed from NZD (Currency #19) to Pounds Sterling (Currency #1) after being OK for over a year. There was one invoice/payment raised under the incorrect currency. It seems impossible to change it back to the desired NZD currency (the ...

Sage Updates
Hi everyone (special hat-tip to Bruce),
One of my clients is still running Sage Job Costing v8 (on a backend of Line 50 v10). I'm in a situation where we've lost the various updates for both packages (accidental deletion by an overzealous tidy person), but I haven't been able to access the update ...

Re: Alt-tab problem
Thanks Bruce,
Sorry for the slow reply - I haven't yet been able to recreate the problem (it only happens intermittently, and I haven't been on site for a while). Did at over 100 alt-tabs just now and issue didn't arise, if it comes back I'll reply in this thread again.
Thanks again,
- Eric

Alt-tab problem
Hi everyone,
I've got a client with a strange problem. When she presses alt-tab to switch in and out of Sage (either L50 or Job Costing), the screen will at times go black for a moment - between about .5 and 2 seconds. Then it comes back and everything is fine.
This only seems to happen when one ...

Ah! Thanks for your reply once again Bruce. You're absolutely right in regards to the user setup: Job Costing was set up to use the same username in Line 50 that people were trying to log in with. When the user clicked "Remove this user from the list", it would allow them to log in anyway, but then ...
