Re: Order Picking Report with stock Location
Sorting from groups always applies first so in your case the order will be by invoice number, item number and then location. To have it ordered by location first you'd need to restructure your report to either remove existing groupings, or to add a grouping on location. Hard to say from a screen sho...

Re: Page 1 of .....
I have played around with this kind of thing in the past and, whilst it is possible to get it to work, it is not simple/pretty so not something I would personally recommend. If you did want to try it you would have to add additional group header/footer sections to your label in Report Designer - You...

Re: Expression with text string "\"
I suspect your problem is not to do with the number extraction as such. Testing a simple expression like this one works fine: StringToFloat("10,000") One possible cause of the problem is with your Kgage expression: PROJECT.REFERENCE <> "" ?Remove(AUDIT_SPLIT.DETAILS,Length(AUDIT_...

Re: Page 1 of .....
REPORT.PAGES might be the expression you are looking for. This returns the total number of pages in the report. But as per Bruce's question it will depend somewhat on how the '10' is being determined as to whether it would be suitable or not.

Re: Commercial Invoice
Auto grow would allow you to expand the section and add extra whitespace to accommodate the fields Exactly. The section was only a single line in height by default but through auto grow I had it expanding as needed. There was no whitespace to be removed. As I say I can't find the report I did this ...

Re: Commercial Invoice
Could swear I have done this before but typically can't lay my hands on the layout I was thinking of now that I want it. From what I recall it was something using conditional formatting to modify the auto grow and padding, and allowing sections to overlap. Don't recall the exact detail, and from a b...

Ah, you mean when actually posting the invoice. I meant with the invoice artefact itself.

True. You'd need to get creative with conditional formatting to stop thatbrucedenney wrote: ↑04 Mar 2021, 10:41 The disadvantage of that approach is that the large whitespace will not be removed.

Re: Sage 50 - Global Nominal Code default?
Oh I didn't know that the global nominal code saves space on the database. I know it creates issues on our reports when it is missing. Using a global nominal or not makes no difference to the space used in the database. There's no way to set a default global nominal within the software (thanks for ...

Re: Commercial Invoice
An alternative approach for hiding the commodity code and weight would be to use conditional formatting on the expressions to suppress printing on them when the stock code is equal to "M"

Re: read/write version of ODBC driver
One of the daftest things about the ODBC driver is that you can specify the delimiter. Sage chose the comma, which makes things like SQL Queries ambiguous in some contexts. Hence the not officially supported. Can't believe I find myself defending Sage here but you can't specify the delimiter charac...

Re: Sage50 OBDC - Frequency of querying Sage?
I think I can curb it to 30 minutes update, that sounds sufficient? Sounds OK to me but it depends on how soon after entering a new invoice you need it to be visible in the warehouse. Obviously a delay could be anywhere from 0-30 minutes depending on the exact timings of the data entry and the sync...

Re: Sage50 OBDC - Frequency of querying Sage?
Every 2 mins seems very frequent to me. I' agree with this every 2 minutes seems a tad excessive but it depends on how frequently the data is changing and the specifics of your use case. I worked on a project a few years ago where we extracted the data from Sage in to SQL Server and had created CRM...

Re: read/write version of ODBC driver
Sage is not online, it is not always available so a restful api is not going to happen. Sounds like a lot of work as well. You don't have to be online to have a restful API. Sage has support for Sdata baked in to it and this works locally - https://sage.github.io/SData-2.0/pages/core/0100/. From wh...

Re: Inactive stock flag ODBC
There is no difference in the fields that are exposed between the 32 bit and 64 bit ODBC drivers as far as I am aware, and the problem cannot be data related. I believe that the problem you're hitting is that Access limits the number of fields in a linked table to 255 but the STOCK table in Sage has...
