I have never done anything with a .template file. I don't know how to apply it to a layout, I have only ever run a report and selected the layout. I've tried adding lines to the template files (there's quite a list) but these don't show when I print. I'm sorry but I'm going to need baby steps for ...

The templates are completely different from the layouts though. I use the layout to run them through. I'm probably missing the point entirely here, I'm by no means fluent with Report Designer so can you please tell me in layman's terms what I need to do to make the line show in the layout.
