Re: Bank default tax code
The default tax code of bank transactions is always T9 (outside the scope of VAT) as the VAT is accounted for on the invoices they pay. There is an exception to this which is when you use VAT Cash accounting, in this case the VAT is accounted for when paid or received. In this case the Tax code is ...

Re: Sage ODBC weird password problem
I have a vague recollection of this being a bug with the ODBC driver, there has certainly been at least one version of it that exhibited this behaviour...

Re: BOM ON GDN
I know of someone from another forum who tried this and, relating to your earlier mention of whether you can add that many sections, he found that Report Designer crashed after about 30 sections/joins had been added albeit, as long as your BOMS aren't that big, it's not an issue...

Re: Transfer data from v8 to sage accounts 2011
It can't be done directly, the data has to go through an intermediate version first. Sage may do it for you or there are Sage Developers who offer such a service.

Re: Sage Integration for osCommerce or other E-Commerce solu
Tradebox Finance Manager (www.tradebox.uk.com) integrates with osCommerce, EKM & Magento to create sales orders and customers in Sage. It can also pass stock quantities back up to EKM & Magento.

Re: How big is my database??
I would agree with that - one of the biggest issues, because of the file system Sage use, is locking and the more users, the worse it gets.billshankley wrote: Would you agree with this?

Re: How big is my database??
1) What exactly is too big? More often than not, 'too big' is defined by the way that the system is setup (anti virus, network settings etc) rather than the number of records. As I mentioned, data is stored across multiple files so, for example, the customer data file might have 100,000 records, th...

Re: How big is my database??
The database is made up of over 200 seperate .DTA files all in the ACCDATA folder so the size of the files in that folder will give you an idea of the total size. Technically, any of the files can have 4 billion records in - recent conversations with Sage suggest that they have 'made up' figures for...

Re: sage not registering any more transactions
Been a very long time since I've seen v6 and, to be honest, I'm not even sure that it had indexes on the transaction files... OP - As Bruce says, take a backup then go to the data folder which, by default, will be c:\program files\sage\accounts\accdata - in that folder is there a file SPLITIDX.DTA? ...
