Sage have never bothered to get MAPI working with Thunderbird, as far as I knew it worked once a long long time ago but not for at least a decade or 2 My initial thought is that you may have updated Thunderbird by accident and that is what has broken things. Try going back to an earlier version. For ...

Re: ODBC User Permissions
Sage access rights used to be really mucked up, they did different things to what they claimed but that was 5+ years ago.
I suggest you try using odbc with the demo data and setup a user in that with restricted access, if you get the same results then it is a "feature" of Sage.

Re: Sage Data Size
Clearing the Audit Trail will reduce the number of headers and splits. However, there are quite a few gotchas along the way that can prevent things clearing, transaction chaining being the most difficult one to overcome. Try clearing it at your next year end. If you want to clear before your year ...

Re: sage data size
It is a memory error, using the 64bit version of 30.1 would, I expect resolve it.
I find export to excel to be very handy with small amounts of data, but with large amounts it is very very slow.
You might find it easier/faster to save one of the printable reports as csv/xls and open that.

Re: Price Calculation Method
Is this in Price Lists? If so, you can import them. If you need to do a lot of changes, then using something like ImportPlus you can import the pricelists. There are a number of price lists tools other than vanilla imports, e.g. a tool that creates price lists when discounts are given to give the ...

Re: Sage 50 Accounts Professional - Stock Lead times
The date on the purchase order is an 2 places.
There is one on the order and then multiple ones for each item.
Which you use depends on when the goods will be delivered. The whole order or in parts.
Note there are DUE_DATE and an DELIVERY_DATE which are easy to confuse.

Re: Sage 50 Accounts Professional - Stock Lead times
You could work out the lead times by looking for GI transactions in Stock_Tran and comparing the date they were received to the date they were ordered on the PO. Not sure what you would then do with that. If you are building a model of stock requirements then, that is very dependant on the business ...

You can use templates to apply a look and feel to all reports.
