Thank you so much for replying and trying to help. I wish your last solution was that easy. This is where the problem lies, with the Instant Accounts package you can't amend in settings as it says it is fixed and won't let you change the date.

I have taken back ups after every session on the accounts system. I have not run a year end at all.
The year end date needs to be amended before I can do this, but the system does'nt allow this as the date is fixed when you originally set up the company.

Instant Accounts Year End Date Amend
I have entered 13 months data and have now realised the year end is incorrect. I set the date from when the business started (Jan 09) but should have been April 09 (In line with tax year). I have run no year end or month end proceedures during this time at all, just normal data entry and VAT returns ...
