Re: Sage 50 Manufacturing WaitingForLockForm error
There was an old record in the ActiveLock table in the SQL database which I deleted and functionality is back. Can't imagine too many still use Manufacturing Line 50 but I think the schema overlaps quite a bit with Sage 200 so maybe this will help somebody.

Re: Sage 50 Manufacturing WaitingForLockForm error
In the demo system on the same server with the same execution client functionality is ok so that rules out an environment/dependency problem. All clients were affected at the same time so that leaves the server along with ACCDATA and the SQL db as potential root causes. No issues in 10 years and jus...

Sage 50 Manufacturing WaitingForLockForm error
We are currently moving to a new ERP system with Manufacturing now being end of life but have not gone live yet, while still using Sage as our primary ERP we have started to experience an error when trying to cancel a works order in Sage 50 Manufacturing. When confirming cancellation a dialogue box ...

Re: printing/export report issue
I removed all the networked printers from the client and started adding them in one by one and then running the report. Turns out one of our Samsung printers was the issue. Perhaps the wrong driver version was installed on the client as it is not on the domain. should of checked before I deleted it....

Re: printing/export report issue
To also reiterate, the report loads very fast, when the print dialogue shows it prints very fast, it's the bit in between.

Re: printing/export report issue
It the same performance, with report loaded in preview, hit print, 2 minutes for dialogue. Close dialogue and hit print again, 2 minutes. Log in log out, 2 minutes, click shortcut to print in report list, 2 minutes... All data paths are set UNC The report that causes the issue is a nominal activity ...

Re: printing/export report issue
Not sure if responding to an old thread is the acceptable thing here but here we go. We have this exact issue. Super slow to get to the print dialogue for odd reports. The Sage Report loads in an acceptable time, when you hit "print" in the preview however, expect to wait 2 or 3 minutes. T...

Re: 'hanging' when cahnging default nominal code
We had issues with BitDefender causing similar problems (and a couple of others!) recently. Worth a quick uninstall to save yourself going crazy.

Re: Sage/Windows 10 SBDesktop.exe Crash
We recently installed BitDefender and found that the default policy caused this issue. After installing we found we could login to Sage but when editing a company record we got SBDesktop.exe has crashed error. Removed BitDefender and it worked with no issues. Check your antivirus and configure accor...

Re: Changing part number
As far as I'm aware you cannot change a stock code after it has been created. You could though set up a new part and import the transaction history from the old stock code.
Hope that helps.

Re: ODBC and MySQL Data sources
I'm in Report Designer and adding a datasource, your connection string appears to be an example for connecting to a sage install but I want to connect to non Sage MySQL database either directly or via ODBC and then pull that data on to my report via a subreport.

Re: ODBC and MySQL Data sources
Hi Bruce, Thanks, my question though was specifically linking to MySQL, I can link to other Sage installs using your connection string and to SQL server instances with the following connection string Server=myServer\sqlInstance;Database=myDb;User Id=sa; But I simply cannot get MySQLDataProvider or O...

ODBC and MySQL Data sources
I'm looking at setting up a datasource in the Sage Report Designer to a MySQL database on our network, the option to add new datasources is available, MySQL even happens to be one of them but neither that or using a ODBC system DSN appears to work with standard connection strings. Has anyone got som...

Re: E-Payments blank?
Thanks Bruce, uninstalled and reinstalled but the e-payments screen is still appearing blank.
Tried on a second PC with no success either. Can't help thinking we're missing something obvious.
The installer doesn't offer anything in the way of configuration, where can it be configured?
