Edit ACCOUNT_REF fields within a few tables

Long story short, we have a company which has a blank ACCOUNT_REF.

There's some rows in AUDIT_SPLIT which have ACCOUNT_REF as the blank record.

Sage crashes if we enter the record. We identified the problem by using the ODBC driver and exporting all the tables to CSV, but as you know, the ODBC driver is read only, cannot use

Code: Select all

UPDATE
Is there a way that I could write to the database to insert this ACCOUNT_REF?

It is not possible without the use of third party tools and even then it is not possible because the ACCOUNT_REF is not stored in the AUDIT_SPLIT table.

I think you probably have a header record that has got detached from the split.

You need to restore your last good backup or a data fix to resolve this.

I hate to plug myself, but I do offer a service for this
