Changing financial year end date

Post by teuchterlass » 03 Feb 2009, 12:20

Hi,

I recently installed Sage Line 50 version 12 and entered the wrong year end date. I only have a couple of transactions added, however it wont let me change the yr end date. I have tried to uninstall the software, but when I reinstall it seems to have saved my previous settings. Help! :(

if its only a couple of trans and your happy to lose them, you can do a rebuild. file > maintance > rebuild, untick retain transactions ( keep everything else ), choose ok and once done you can choose a new start date.
make sure to backup before you do this, as it is in effect destroying your data.

or

if you have accounts plus or proffessional you can go to setttings > financial year, and amend it in there, just make sure the data you have already posted will still be within your 12 month year and not outside it.
