Making sage work on a virtual LAN

Post by mynewjob » 19 Aug 2010, 19:21

Hello everybody.

I'm trying to get sage to work on a virtual LAN. We are migrating a network from older pc's to L300 thin clients. The server is a windows home server (basically sbs 2003). We had sage 50 accounts working up until we installed payroll. Then it all went wrong.

The error I'm getting is;

SBDDesktop.exe - Entry point not found.

The precudere entry point_SWBSetPseudoHomePage@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library SGWebBrowser.dll

The first thing I tried was replacing SGWebBrowser.dll with another copy of that file from a different install. All that did was change the error to;

The precudere entry point_SWBNavigate@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library SGWebBrowser.dll

Hmmm.

So I tried re-installing the program, that also failed to fix the problem. Then I searched the internet looking for a solution but I was unable to find one.

I'm fairly new at this so I wonder if anyone here would be kind enough to let me know where I am going wrong, or how I should go about troubleshooting this problem.

All the best,

Martin.

I suggest you install the SBDesktop update from the sage support website, I think it is currently sbddesktopbuild107.exe
