Period End

Post by cbuttle » 19 Aug 2010, 15:44

Hi i have sage version 16.00.17.0154 and am running windows XP.

I had never used sage until 1 month ago, and have had no training. So my question is.

Is there a month end procedure which closes the period, but will not let any posting go into that period. I have run year end and someone has just given me a invoice date Jan 2010, this was processed but has now changed all my prior month figures. I have run the period end procedure but it is still allowing posting to be made to prior periods.

Thanks in advance for the help

Sage is open item accounting so no.

You need to read this to understand how it works and how you control it.
